I'm Fidalgo, a 24 years old self-taught Front-end developer from Portugal, currently living in Leicester, UK.

Yes, I did. I took a degree in 'Communication & Multimedia'. I didn't learn JS there. I learned a little bit of everything, from Design to 3D to PHP.

My first job was building Wordpress websites. I didn't code much there, I mostly played with CSS and Visual Composer. It was very boring.

Yes I did, in January 2019. I then moved back to my parent's house and studied Javascript for 6 months every day.

I coded a bit in high school, and then did some PHP in college. At my first job I also did some small PHP projects. So I've been coding for 4 years, but not JS and not regularly. Regularly, I've been coding for a little over a year.

I just started posting. It was something to hold me accountable when I left my job because I forced myself to post every day. So I had to study to talk about that on the daily post. If you want to start, just start. Provide content with value to your audience and be patient. You will not grow overnight, so my advice is to not worry about followers at all.

Yes. I had some programming background from college, but very little. The most knowledge I have came from Udemy courses, Youtube Videos, and practice. Lot's of practice.

Absolutely not. To land a job as a developer, you can learn everything on the internet. You just need to be dedicated and consistent. It's possible to get a job without a computer science degree or a boot camp.

I mostly switch between the Logitech MX Keys and the Vortex TAB75.

It's impossible to tell. Everyone is different and learn at different paces. Don't compare yourself to others and just take your time.

Set up small goals to achieve. They will be easier do and you'll get a sense of accomplishment which will keep you moving forward. Don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to your old self. You'll realize that you learned a lot already.

Absolutely! Don't jump into a framework/library before learning Vanilla JS first. You'll only get frustrated and not understand what's going on.
